What We Heard Report - Engagement Round 2

A What We Heard Report is now available for the second round of engagement on the draft Mineral Exploration and Development Framework.

The second round of engagement included:

  • Two public open houses held on February 9 and 13, 2026;
  • An online survey available between February 9 and March 9, 2026;
  • Meetings with Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta’an Kwäch’än Council; and
  • Meetings with the mining industry and environmental organizations.

The feedback received will inform final adjustments to the draft Mineral Exploration and Development Framework.

Next Steps: The finalized draft Mineral Exploration and Development Framework and associated Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw amendments are anticipated to be presented to the City Planning Committee in Summer/Fall 2026.
