Yellow Brick Road Connector

Purpose of proposed trail
To refurbish and extend an unsanctioned trail that provides a downhill experience with features that range from beginner to advanced. The existing trail is a “push up” trail and descent that connects to Magnusson Green at high speed. CMBC proposed to extend the trail to start at upper Magnusson Green and to reroute the bottom to end with a low speed connection to lower Magnusson Green to Yellow Brick Road. This will avoid user conflict and make the trail downhill only for safety.
Brief description of proposed trail or any work planned
A single-track hand-built trail for mountain biking with flow. The trail will be a Blue Square – More Difficult by Whistler trail building standards with some black diamond features. The trail has existed for over a decade with multiple dilapidated jumps in a high traffic recreation area with the Magnusson trails area. The area sees some of the highest traffic on Grey Mountain. The proposed trail will provide an alternative descent to lower Magnusson Green to Yellow Brick Road connector and drive downhill traffic off the Magnusson Green climb. The existing section of trail will be refurbished and connected to upper Magnusson Green and extended down to lower Magnusson Green to Yellow Brick Road connector.
Location of proposed trail
Lower Grey Mountain
