Hillcrest reconstruction Phase 1A substantially complete

The City is pleased to report that Phase 1A of reconstruction work in Hillcrest on Roundel Road and Summit Road is substantially complete.

The City thanks residents and businesses for their patience and understanding, recognizing these necessary improvements have impacted traffic and resulted in noise and inconvenience for the neighbourhood.

Detailed design is underway for Phase 1B, which includes Sunset Drive North from Roundel Road to the north end of the street, Roundel Road east of Summit Road, and portions of Burns Road to Hillcrest Drive.

This winter, the City will engage with residents directly impacted by Phase 1B construction to discuss the work.

Construction for Phase 1B is projected for the 2028/2029 fiscal year, depending on approvals and funding.
