Hillcrest Reconstruction update

The closure on Summit Road between Roundel Road and Hillcrest Drive is extended to Friday, June 19 as the City’s contractor prepares the road for resurfacing.

After June 19 Summit Road will reopen as a gravel surface with concrete curbs. Summit will be closed again later in the summer when asphalt is placed for the entire construction area.

Beginning Monday, June 15, the intersection of Roundel Road and Sunset Drive North will be closed until June 19. During this time Transit stops on Sunset Drive North will be temporarily closed and buses will detour up Hillcrest Drive, around Park Lane, and back down Hillcrest Drive. Roundel Road continues to be closed between Summit Road and Sunset Drive North for deep utility construction. Residents of that area will be required to use alternative access until August unless they are otherwise notified.

The City will continue to work with residents and the contractor, Castle Rock Enterprises, to provide temporary access when needed for fuel or other deliveries.
