April 30: Construction Season Open House

Hi folks,

Ahead of this year's construction season the City is hosting an Open House at Decora (7 Roundel Road) on April 30 from 5 to 7 pm.

Some key topics:

  • Another round of introductions, including Castlerock's new Superintendent / Public Liaison - Christa (I understand she met several of you last week going door to door)

  • Discussion of work remaining for 2026

  • Presentation of Castlerock's Traffic Management Plan so people know what to expect for access, parking, alternate bus routes, etc.

  • Reminder about process for organics and waste collection during construction

  • What to expect for temporary water connections

  • Schedule update and key milestones

  • Traffic calming initiative on Hillcrest Drive this summer

  • General Questions and Answers

Intention is for the open house to be focused on residents around Phase 1A; however, if folks from other phases show up I can speak to the general reconstruction program.

I'll bring some snacks and Decora is open for light refreshments. We'll plan to have a few items printed off and displayed on tables.

Between myself, Associated Engineering, and Castlerock we'll be able to speak to folks as they rotate through – that being said, no pressure to show up at a specific time during that window.
