Update 5: Reconstruction Phase 1A

Thanks for attending Fridays in the Park on May 30! Engineering staff had a table set up and we had lots of good discussion with residents regarding Hillcrest reconstruction.

There were a few questions about the extents of tree clearing in Phase 1A and if there would be any sidewalks. Attached is a drawing showing the limits of tree clearing, which is now complete.

The project originally included tree clearing along Summit Road, south of Roundel, but that has since been removed. We are revising the design to re-align the road to preserve those trees in that area.

Also attached is a signage and line painting plan for Phase 1A. As indicated, there is no sidewalk being installed in this phase, due to narrow right-of-ways. We are currently working on a revision to this drawing that will see barrier curb installed along the southwest side of Summit, to help retain the slope. The re-alignment to preserve trees is not currently shown.

For information regarding sidewalks and general conceptual design for future phases, please download a copy of the What We Heard 2: The Roadmap report on this page.

Thanks for your interest in the project and stay tuned for more updates as we progress through construction.
