In 2024, we implemented a series of traffic calming measures across Whitehorse to reduce vehicle speeds and create safer streets for everyone. These measures were installed near schools, playgrounds, and other areas with vulnerable road users. Following their success, we're expanding traffic calming efforts to more locations in 2025.

Changing driver behaviour is most effective when it combines physical infrastructure with education and enforcement. We’ll continue working with our partners to promote safer driving habits through a well-rounded approach.
